Haiti - Diaspora : Some Ministers and Directors General met the Diaspora
As part of the National Day of the Diaspora (JND) several Ministers and Directors General have intervened during a forum on the services and opportunities granted to Haitians in the Diaspora.

In his speech, Pierre-Richard Casimir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) declared "our brothers and sisters of the Diaspora deserve the attention of the motherland and the whole consideration of the state authorities and the nation in general, the MAE as part of its mission and of the objective assigned spares no effort to make optimum the level of accompanying for all Haitian communities outside receive the services of our Embassies and Consulates [...]" adding that the participation of the diaspora in the management of affairs of the country, including through the exercise of voting rights is a often repeated claim from our consular services. For his part, Jean Renel Sanon, the Minister of Justice and Public Safety, especially focused on the fight against insecurity in the country. In his speech, the Minister of Justice declared "it is with great joy that we welcome this initiative, which allows us to share with the Haitian community abroad on issues related to justice and public safety. "Each member of the diaspora is an Ambassador of Haiti. The initiatives of the Haitian communities abroad participate greatly to the spread of Haitian culture. The annual music festival Compass is one of the manifestations of the Diaspora that honors the country. Every Haitian, abroad, promotes Haitian culture. We are launching a movement : 'Women and ink' for the promotion and dissemination of women's writing."

In addition, Mr. Guillaume the Representative of Social Welfare, congratulated the MHAVE for the organization of the week of the diaspora, an initiative that unites Haitians here and abroad. Recalling that his institution, created in 1958, aims to support the family in everything that might affect their well-being. "We give them psychosocial and economic support. Our work consists in social protection, protection of children's rights, which leads us to work closely with the law. We wlso do a work of adobtion and also conduct a struggle against the phenomenon of restavèk etc... Our doors are open to members of the diaspora who may be interested in our services."
