Haiti - Tourism : Agreements with Venezuela for Tourism Development in Haiti
Sunday on the sidelines of the 7th Summit of Heads of State of the 17 member countries of Petrocaribe, Haiti and the Venezuela, have agreed on several projects aimed at tourism development of Haiti.

This working meeting, at Salón Pichincha, of the Military Circle in Caracas between Andrés Izarra, the Minister of Tourism of Venezuela, and his Haitian counterpart, Stéphanie B. Villedrouin, [accompanied by members of their respective delegations] took place within the framework of recovery of Haiti as a tourist reference and "Pearl of the Antilles".

Both countries have agreed on a plan for the development and operation in an environmentally sustainable vision, of the île à Vache (South of Haiti), considered as a unspoiled places of the Caribbean, where we find among other, a score of beautiful beaches.



Both Ministers Izarra and Villedrouinhave also evaluated the investment for tourism plans, which will receive funding from the binational fund Pétion-Bolivar, as well as the promotion of private and public investment.

Furthermore, Andrés Izarra, indicated on his Twitter account that the meeting with the Haitian delegation has analyzed the possibilities of the internationalization of the tour operator "Venetur" with foreign direct operators to strengthen the tourism sector in Haiti.
