Haiti - Health : Dr. Marie-Louise Jean-Baptiste, Honoured by the Harvard Medical School 31/05/2013 12:07:16 Dr. Jean-Baptiste received this award in recognition of her outstanding teaching, both in CHA’s primary care clerkship and its HMS-Cambridge Integrated Clerkship (CIC). Launched in 2004, the CIC is a complete redesign of the principal clinical year in medical school that serves as a model for the reform of clinical education at the national and international level. The program promotes student learning by close and constant contact with patients through all phases of diagnosis and treatment, focusing on the whole patient care and promoting the ideals of empathy, professionalism and connection with patients. Through her mentoring, Jean-Baptiste plays an important role in guiding and educating the next generation of physicians and, through her own practice, also acts as an excellent role model. Learn more about Dr. Marie-Louise Jean-Baptiste : Of Haitian origin, Dr. Jean-Baptiste is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the State University of Haiti and trained in internal medicine at Cambridge Hospital. She serves as a primary care physician at the CHA Windsor Street Health Center and as medical director of CHA's Healthcare for the Homeless Program.
