Haiti - Culture : Preparations for the Carnival of Flowers 2013 25/06/2013 11:08:49
The Ministry of Culture with the support of the Presidency, of the Primature, the Ministry of Tourism and other public institutions such as the Secretariat of State for Public Security, the National Police (PNH) work and plan, with great detail, this important cultural event. Monday, Josette Darguste, acting Minister of Culture, has met in her office 10 designers and fashion professionals to ensure the beauty of this cultural event. For more than two hours, the issues related to decors, costumes for the queens and artists who will perform on the official route of the carnival and the organization of ball of flowers were reviewed. Everything is already in place for a great representation. For the show keeps its promises, the Federation of disguised bands is called to exercise discipline and rigidity for wearing costumes by their members ; sponsors will endeavor not to disturb the show with untimely distributions of tshirts. As for the crowd, its excesses will be contained, the area of execution of artistic performance and the general route of the procession will be completely secure.
