In her speech, Mrs. Irvika Francis, Unit Coordinator of the Information Technology and Communication for Education (UTICE) noted that ICTE played a highly important role in the Operational Plan (2010 - 2015) of the Ministry. Explaining that the ICTE had been identified as a means to strengthen three important components in the areas of intervention of the Ministry : the information management of the education sector ; access and quality of teaching and learning ; strengthening of the capacities of stakeholders in the system.

For his part, Karl Fleurant Rood, who spoke on behalf of the Director General of the MENFP, insisted on the contribution of the school project of a society of information and communication for all, by initiating actions to generalize the use and development of digital resources for education in a society whose technological environment is constantly changing.
