Haiti - Culture : Exhibition «Vodou et Créativité» in Montreal 12/08/2013 12:48:44 The starting point for this exhibition consists of photographs of Gregory Jean-Baptiste, whose curiosity was aroused by a certain practice of voodoo in Montreal. These works is completed of drawings by Dolorès Yonkers (collection Gérald Alexis), of painting by Lafortune Félix and metal sculptures (collection Émeraude Michel), Vodou flags and various artifacts from oumfò (collection Frantz Voltaire), ethnographic objects chosen for their beauty (collection University of Montreal) and videos of dances and songs as well as books (collection CIDIHCA). CIDIHCA receivs the support of Canada Council for the Arts, the City of Montreal, Quebec Employment, of the Sodec, FOKAL, Unibank and Unitransfer and Educa Vision.
