Haiti - Culture : 3rd Festival Montreal Sou Konpa 23/08/2013 13:56:52
The legendary Haitian orchestra Tabou Combo, "mizik rasin" (root music) Boukman Eksperyans, the star of reggae and techno J.Perry, as well as Belo and Band and Anbyans Mikiz (Haiti), Karizma and Cruz LA (New York) and 5LAN (Miami) will raise the crowd. Musicians from here, such as U.N.I.K, Kompa Thérapie, Vibrasyon, Kizomba, LookOut, Koneksyon, Les Zoukeurs, J-Ron, SKJ Sakaj and Shakito will be present. The Festival Montreal Sou Konpa is also a window for local artists such U.N.I.K., Konpa Thérapie, Vibrasyon, Look Out, Koneksyon, Les Zoukeurs, etc... which will enchant the city during the two-day of festival. In addition, 8 DJs will perform to ensure a continuous music festival. The event also features dance workshops (Kizomba, Zouk and Konpa), an area of family games, kiosks, Haitian food, various snacks and three bars, something for everyone.
