On teh Dominican side : Rosa Martínez, Deputy Director General of the IDAC-Santiago, José Valdez, Legal Director, Bolívar León Paulino, Director of Air Navigation, Johan Estrada, Director of Monitoring the the operational safety and Juan Thomas Burgos, Director of the Academy of Science in Aeronautics (ASCA). Future agreements between the institutions of civil aviation of the two countries will focus on technical cooperation and academic exchange. The Haitian delegation visited the modern installations of Aeronautical Complex Norge Botello and the Academy of Sciences Aeronautics ASCA (Academia Superior de Ciencias Aeronáuticas) "Bilateral relations between the Dominican Republic and Haiti have always been good. This visit of Mr. Léopold Martin and his delegation confirmed it, because our intention is to continue to feed the ties between our two nations, by working on strengthening security, as well as providing facilities through these agreements that will be signed soon, so that Haitian technicians can come to train in our academy," declared Alejandro Herrera. Recall that Léopold Martin Roumer, who was appointed in June 2013 by the President Martelly [to replace Jean Marc Flame], had immediately laid the groundwork of this meeting with the authorities of the Dominican Civil Aviation.
