Haiti - Economy : Launch of the sectoral table «Trade and Industry» 07/10/2013 13:05:11 Already in November 2012, the Government, in order to identify sectoral priorities and having an overview of programs and projects related to the PSDH had established a new framework for coordination of external development assistance, whose mandate was to facilitate intersectoral trade and the flow of information coming from structures of thought, towards the entity of programming of the assistance to development of Haiti. The perspective to make Haiti an emerging country by 2030, as shown in PSDH involves the establishment of new bases and the creation, by policy makers, of a macroeconomic environment conducive to sustainable economic growth, to ensure the equitable distribution of wealth, the emergence of a society offering perspectives of economic integration, social and political to all citizens. In this perspective, the mission of the MCI is to define, develop and implement, in partnership with key economic actors, the policies in matter commercial and industrial to accompany the entrepreneur, investor and protect the consumer. This implies for MCI to define a time frame for the implementation of the measures and to be able to assess the evolution of the implementation of various programs and projects that result. The discussions that took place, will allow to finalize the terms of reference of the table and to facilitate its work. Discussions will continue in order to implement the next steps of the workplan of this sectorial table. HL/ HaitiLibre
