Haiti - Politic : Delmas received the program «Gouvènman an lakay ou»
Saturday, as part of the new initiative of permanent consultations initiated by the Martelly administration with the population, the city of Delmas hosted at the Municipal Palace the program "Gouvènman an lakay ou". During discussions with the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, residents have the opportunity to submit their grievances. Vanneur Pierre, Minister of Education stated that "12,000 new children have joined the Universal Schooling Program Free and Compulsory (PSUGO) in the municipality of Delmas this year," he announced the construction of several high schools and national schools whose the lycée Horacius Laventure. Moreover, the Prime Minister formally requested the Director of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) to integrate 200 elderly people in the program "Ede pèp" as part of a literacy center based in Delmas. The program of garbage collection of Department of Metropolitan Solid Waste Collection (SMCRS) will further extend at the level of the commune, by providing new jobs for residents of Delmas.
