Haiti - Denationalization : The Consul General of New York commends the efforts of the Haitian diplomacy
In a statement, Charles A. Forbin, the Consul General of the Republic of Haiti in New York, welcomed the spirit of solidarity demonstrated by the Haitian community vis-à-vis our sisters and brothers Haitian-Dominicans and share the sentiments expressed by his countrymen and ensures them of his undeniable support.

"The Consul General reminds the community that since the announcement of the decision of the Dominican Republic, [ https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-9563-haiti-social-a-resolution-with-heavy-consequences.html ], who shares with us the history of Hispaniola, the Government Martelly-Lamothe has not wasted time in the start of diplomacy, this means given to all countries to resolve a dispute amicably.

The diplomatic apparatus, as you know, remains a tool of choice available to the State, in situations of conflict. The Foreign Ministry is in talks with international bodies, established by the United Nations to assist the States in the search for peaceful solutions towards the resolution of different."

Charles A. Forbin recalls that Pierre-Richard Casimir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, as part of his diplomatic tour of the region, has already received the official support of several Nations and organizations, including Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Suriname and the CARICOM among others.

He concluded by quoting the American anthropologist Margaret Mead [1901-1978] who said "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
