Haiti - Elections : Special provisions for persons with disabilities 21/10/2013 09:42:25 To this end, the CTCEP, with the support of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), will work to develop strategies to facilitate access for people with disabilities in age and willing to vote and that, in the entire electoral process, from the polling station to ballots. According to the Secretary of State, this initiative is fair and in accordance with the law of 13 March 2012 Article 16 obliging the state to guarantee every citizen the right to vote "A disabled person is first and foremost a citizen . Gérald Oriol, Jr. also called for the participation of persons with disabilities at all stages of the electoral process as planners, ordinary employees and voters. Emmanuel Ménard took the opportunity to congratulate the Secretary of State for his leadership and dynamism at the head of BSEIPH and promised among other things, to contribute as best as possible, to the integration of disabled people in society.
