Haiti - Justice : Series of protests against the Government Commissioner

On indefinite strike since October 24, to demanding the dismissal of Francisco René, the Government Commissioner of Port-au-Prince, following the arrest deemed illegal and arbitrary of Me André Michel, on the evening of Tuesday, October 22, 2013 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-9722-haiti-justice-excesses-without-precedent-in-haitian-history.html , Me Carlos Hercule, barrister of the Bar of Port-au-Prince, announced for Wednesday, a peaceful march, to continue to demand the dismissal of the Government Commissioner and of Dean of the Court of the jurisdiction Raymond Jean-Michel.
The march will begin before the premises of the former Palace of Justice, ending before the Ministry of Justice. Lawyers will manifest alone and will wear their black gown for the occasion. According to Me Hercule, the Government Commissioner constitutes a threat to individual freedom of lawyers and the free exercise of the profession...
Furthermore, the pro-Lavalas popular organization, "Fòs Patriotik ou Respè Konstitsyon an (FOPARK) announces the organization of two events for the same reasons, one Thursday and another Monday, November 18, 2013.
