Haiti - Football : Toronto FC acquires Haitian international Derrick Étienne Jr.
Toronto FC acquired Haitian international Derrick Etienne Jr. (27) this week in a deal with Atlanta United FC in exchange for a general allocation of up to US$375,000 of which US$175,000 is conditional on certain performance-based settings.

The 8-year Major League Soccer (MLS) veteran has 17 goals and 19 assists in 171 regular season matches, including 89 starts, with the New York Red Bulls, FC Cincinnati (on loan during the 2019 season), Columbus Crew and Atlanta.

"This is a mutually beneficial trade that provides us flexibility to potentially strengthen the roster in the summer, while giving Derrick a fresh start in Toronto," said Carlos Bocanegra, Vice President and Technical Director of Atlanta, in a press release.
