Haiti - Kirin Challenge Cup : Our Grenadiers stand up to Japan [3-3]
Tuesday night at the legendary stadium "Nissan Yokohama Stadium" our Grenadiers faced the Japanese without trembling and despite a quasi-catastrophic start of game, managed to raise the score and finish on a draw [3-3] after having to be close to victory, which is a feat.
The match began with strong pressure from the highly mobile Japanese who quickly opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a shot from Kurata Shu [0-1], Sugimoto Kenyu in the 17th made the difference from a shot in the 17th [0-2]...
The Grenadiers nevertheless reacted by reducing the score to 28th by a shot from Kevin Lafrance on a beautiful opening by Wilde Donald Guerrier in the right corridor [1-2]
At the half time Japan led against Haiti [1-2]
Upon returning from the locker room, a better organized Haitian team quickly proved its capacity, on an equalizer shot [2-2] from Duckens Nazon in the 58th on a service from the right-hand side of the AJ Auxerre, Arcus Carlens who himself had benefited from a deviation of Méchak Jérôme on a free kick. 20 minutes later at the 78th Duckens Nazon scored his double [3-2] in a sumptuous lob shooting of more than 25 meters which left no chance to Masaaki. A goal that cooled the Japanese public convinced of the superiority and victory of their team
Unfortunately, Haiti did not keep this goal in advance, while midfielder Borrussia Dotmund Shunji Kagawa, to the 90' saved his team of the defeat by scoring an equalizer goal [3-3] in the end of the game.
At the end of the Match, coach Marc Collat said he was quite pleased with the draw, although he expressed regret that his team had let fall for a dust of seconds a victory that would have been historic. He had promised and he did it, all six changes allowed in this match as promised the French has used all of them.
