Haiti - League of Nations 2022 : Our Grenadiers crush Guyana [6-2] and take the lead in Group B (Video)
Saturday June 11, 2022, as part of the 2nd Edition of the 2022 League of Nations of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), our Grenadiers trained by Jean Jacques Pierre faced for their 3rd match, on the lawn of the National Track & Field Leonara the "Golden Jaguars" of Guyana, leader of Group B with 6 points.

It was with a wide score of [6-2] that our Grenadiers crushed the "Golden Jaguars" and took the lead in the Group B classification of League B, with 7 points followed by Guyana 6 points.

A victory without real shine or the problems remain with our Grenadiers technically and physically limited, with divisions within the team and a lack of motivation.

Starting XI :
(#1) Johny Placide: Sporting Club Bastia (France)
(#2) Arcus Carlens: Aj Auxerre (France)
(#3) Francois Dulysse: Central Valley Fuego FC (USA)
(#7 Antoine Carnejy: Casa Pia athletico (Portugal)
(#10) Etienne Jr Derrick: Columbus Crew (USA)
(#11) Dany Jean: Racing Strasbourg B (France)
(#13) Simonsen Jeppe: Podbeskidzie Bielko. B (Poland)
(#19) Saba Steeven: Violette Athletic Club (Haiti)
(#20) Shaynder Borgelin: MLS Next Pro Inter Miami CF (USA)
(#21) Alceus Bryan: Zira Fk (Azerbaijan)
(#22) Christian Alex Junior: FC Taraz (Kazakhstan)

In a very lively first period, 7 goals were scored. Simonsen Jeppe opened the scoring in favor of Haiti [1-0], worsened at 9' by Steven Saba [2-0].

2 minutes later Emery Welshman (#15) of the "Golden Jaguars" reduced the score by scoring the first goal for Guyana [2-1].

Carnejy Antoine scored a 3rd goal against Guyana at 38' [3-1] and Derrick Etienne Jr. Scores a double for Haiti at 41' [4-1] and 43' [5-1], score that Nathan Moriah-Welsh (#6) of the "Golden Jaguars" reduces to 45' [5-2] .

If this first period showed the efficiency in attack of our Grenadiers, it revealed many weaknesses to be corrected in defense and in the midfield.

On returning from the locker room, the second period turned out to be dull and very weak with only 1 goal scored by Fredler Christophe entering the game at 67' (in place of Dany Jean) who scored his first goal in selection at 80' [6-2] in favor of Haiti.

Match schedule (Group B):
June 14, 2022 (return match)
Haiti vs Guyana at the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium (Santo Domingo). A meeting that our Grenadiers must win to reassure themselves in terms of points.

March 25, 2023 (return match)
Haiti vs Montserrat at Olympic Stadium Felix Sanchez (Santo Domingo)

March 28, 2023 (return match)
Haiti vs Bermuda at Olympic Stadium Felix Sanchez (Santo Domingo)

Let's remember that at the end of these 6 matches, the team that will finish at the top of its Group will do a double blow by reaching the first division of the league (League A) and also by qualifying for the Gold Cup 2023.

The 2nd ranked team will keep its place in league B and will play the play-offs giving access to the Gold Cup.

The 3rd in the standings will keep their place in league B while the 4th will be relegated to League C for the 2023-2024 edition.
