Faced with a technically better organized Chilean selection which had = possession of the ball throughout the game, our Grenadières bet on the speed of execution of the attackers and the counter-attacks, a winning strategy for Haiti

"Corventina" opened the scoring in favor of Haiti in extra time of the first period on a pass from Roselord Borgella 45'+1 [1-0]. She scored the winning goal and her double at 90'+8 on a Nérilia Mondésir pass alias "Nérigol" [2-0]

Maria José Rojas saved Chile's reds from humiliation by reducing the score to 90'+11 [2-1]

Haiti will find itself at the World Cup in Group D with very strong opponents like England, Denmark and the Republic of China.
