Haiti - Gold Cup 2023 : Haiti loses against Mexico [1-3] (Video) 30/06/2023 07:49:55
Thursday, June 29, 2023, as part of the Gold Cup 2023 in the group stage, our Grenadiers faced on the lawn of State Farm Stadium in Glandale, Arizona, the "Tricolor" of Mexico.
Back from the locker room, the Brazilians opened the scoring at 46' on a header from Henry Martin [0-1]. 10 minutes later Ricardo Adé, the captain of the Grenadiers on a cross from the Mexican attack, sent the ball into his own net [0-2].
Far from being discouraged, our Grenadiers again attack a formidable but not invincible adversary. On a corner, shot by Derrick Étienne Danley Jean-Jacque proves it, by reducing the score by a head at 78' [1-2]. Many people still hope that equality and victory are still possible.
Unfortunately Santiago Giminéez at 83' sinks the score in favor of Mexico [1-3], score which will remain unchanged until the end of regulation time.
A match where Mexico had 65% possession of the ball and scored 3 goals on 10 shots on target in the 32 shots attempted. Haiti for its part scored 1 goal on 2 shots on target in the 6 shots attempted.
