Haiti - U-17 Women's Championship : Our Grenadières crushed by the Canadians [1-4] finish 4th
Sunday February 11, 2024 in the small final of the U-17 Women's Championship of the Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) our Grenadières faced, in Toluca, Mexico, the Canadians to try to obtain 3rd place on the podium but they suffered another defeat, losing [1-4] against Canada and finishing 4th off the podium.

It is therefore a sad end for our girls who had started the competition well but in less than 3 days the Grenadières suffered 2 defeats and conceded 11 goals...

Lourdjina Étienne, scorer on 8 occasions and was named best player of the competition and CONCACAF awarded her the "Golden Ball".

Starting XI :
To face Canada in the classification match of the Concacaf U17 Women's Championship, Marc Ogé, the Grenadières coach, has lined up the following players:

In the first period Haiti took the advantage over the Canadians thanks to a goal from Lourdjina Étienne in the 7th minute [1-0] who scored his 8th goal of the competition. Canada on a free kick, found the equalizer on a long shot from Kaylee Hunter at 45'+3

At half time the score [1-1] left all hopes open...

Upon returning from the locker room, our Grenadières experienced a catastrophic outcome, in 7 minutes our Grenadières conceded 3 goals.

Kaylee Hunter scores a goal in the 46' [1-2] scoring a double in this match, a few minutes later Liana Tarasco in the 51' scores again for Canada [1-3] and Kaylee Hunter scores her hat-trick in the 53' [1-4] score which will remain unchanged at the end of this match.

Haiti :

This was the third time Canada and Haiti met in the CONCACAF U-17 third place match, with Canada winning [4-2] in 2016 and [2-1] in 2018.
