Sunday July 21, 2024, on the lawn of the "Sergio León Chavez" stadium in Irapuato (Mexico), our Grenadiers in the opening match of the qualifying phase for the FIFA World Cup Chile 2025, had a difficult start, largely dominated by Mexico, the best team in group C and despite all their efforts, our Grenadiers lost [4-0].

In the first period, the Grenadiers, faced with the speed of the Mexicans, were not able to put their opponent in danger, conceding a first goal in the 11th minute from Yael Padilla [1-0]. Score unchanged at half-time.
Returning from the locker room our Grenadiers were more enterprising, but faced with waves of attacks from the very aggressive Mexicans and despite all their efforts our Grenadiers were not able to prevent a shot from Jurado Heriberto in the 72' [2-0], followed 6 minutes later by another goal from Xavier Biscayzacu in the 78' [3-0]. Amaury Morales closed this match by scoring a 4th goal for Mexico in the 96' [4-0]
