Haiti - Friendly Match : Our Grenadières defeated by Canada [4-1]
On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the first friendly match between the Canadian Canucks (ranked 7th in the world) and our Haitian Grenadières (ranked 53rd in the world) took place on the Princess Auto Stadium pitch in Winnipeg in front of a large Canadian crowd, where our girls unsurprisingly lost to the Canucks [4-1].

Starting XI :
French coach Malou Quignette has chosen his core players to face Canada in the first of two friendly matches scheduled for the FIFA window. The Grenadières will have their work cut out for them against a superior opponent.

Summary :
The Canadians scored two goals in the first 10 minutes from the start thanks to a brace from Adriana Leona, set up by Janine Beckie, in The match was a three-minute stretch. 7' [1-0] 9' [2-0] in a match that looked like it would be a walkover for Canada. The Canucks then dominated possession and created numerous scoring opportunities in the face of a difficult start for our Grenadières, who were unable to get into the game and had to fend off repeated attacks from the Canadians, putting up a fierce resistance until halftime.

After the break, Shelina Zadorsky extended Canada's lead by scoring a goal from a corner at the far post in the 50th minute [3-0]. Two minutes later, in the 52nd minute, Batcheba Louis reduced the deficit and gave Haiti some hope [3-1].

Thanks to improved tactical and technical organization, our Grenadières, with the introductions of Tabita Joseph, Jasmine Vilgrin, Maudeline Moryl, and Chelsea Domond, were able to create several opportunities, but were unable to convert them. Olivia Smith concluded this match by scoring a 4th goal for Canada in the 90' [4-1]
