The Canucks then dominated possession and created numerous scoring opportunities in the face of a difficult start for our Grenadières, who were unable to get into the game and had to fend off repeated attacks from the Canadians, putting up a fierce resistance until halftime. After the break, Shelina Zadorsky extended Canada's lead by scoring a goal from a corner at the far post in the 50th minute [3-0]. Two minutes later, in the 52nd minute, Batcheba Louis reduced the deficit and gave Haiti some hope [3-1]. Thanks to improved tactical and technical organization, our Grenadières, with the introductions of Tabita Joseph, Jasmine Vilgrin, Maudeline Moryl, and Chelsea Domond, were able to create several opportunities, but were unable to convert them.
