This popular event, in an atmosphere of celebration where music has been in the spotlight, has benefited from the participation of the private sector. Large business houses and small traders have felt the benefits of significantly stressed the Head of State that sent his congratulations to all those who have contributed to the ongoing success of this event. More than 5,000 police officers were deployed along the route and in the vicinity to ensure the safety and security and prevent major incidents. Unfortunately, cases of injury and discomfort were recorded. During these three days, 283 people were rescued (trauma, discomfort from lack of air, intoxication, drunkenness, asthma attack) on the medical stand of the First Lady Sophia Martelly: the first days 115 (396 in 2013), 72 the second day (183 in 2013) and 95 on the last day. To them must be added 249 people taken over by the National Ambulance Centre (CAN) and almost as much by the Haitian Red Cross (HRC), which confirms the death of a young man on the path of the carnival, died in HUEH following a fatal wound to the chest. The First Lady wishes to also congratulated the revelers "I thank and congratulate generally the Haitian people who participated and kept a dignified and exemplary behavior during the three days of the Carnival of Flowers. My thanks and congratulations also go to the medical staff who gave the best of himself to meet the demands of the time." According to Garry Desrosiers, deputy spokesman of the National Police of Haiti, more than two dozen wounded with knives have been reported and several arrests were made during these three days.
