Haiti - Diaspora : «There will be no miracle, nor easily, everything will be done through labor» dixit Olicier Pierriche
Thursday, the outgoing Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), François Guillaume II in the presence of fifty people including several congregational delegations proceeded to the inauguration of his successor at the head of MHAVE, Olicier Pierriche which is also a pastor at the Tabernacle of Glory, Fort Lauderdale.

Extract from the speech of the New Minister Pierriche :
"[...] I must tell you honestly that this post does not draw on me any glory, because this appointment does not put me at the top of a ranking. It puts me in front of my responsibilities as a patriotic citizen. It still gives me another opportunity to serve the country I love so much, especially our brothers and sisters who are in foreign territory.

That said, Iwill make sure that the outline of the government's policy on the condition of our brothers and sisters in the Diaspora are applied with seriousness and attention to detail, so that their dream of integration becomes a reality.

Today, we are there to continue the work of our predecessors and at the same time bring a new touch in the relations between Haitians living abroad and their countries of origin. We want, beyond the borders come together to build a new "desire to live together." If the term diaspora, means the dispersion of a people throughout the world, we want beyond this definition to ensure that every Haitian who lives in a foreign land can be considered as a link in the great chain that is Haiti. Because the key to our success and of our future prosperity lies in our ability to come together, to build a new "desire to live together", which is also a real political force.

Today, cultural, religious and social diversity of the Haitian diaspora is an asset that must be preserved at all costs and ensure that Haiti can benefit of it. In addition, it is important to note that the Haitian Diaspora is an indispensable tool in the struggle to rebuild Haiti.

To go beyond words, my first action will be to make an inventory, in order to realize the work already done by the ministry and those who are in need to advance. Then we will prepare an action plan that will enable us to address the grievances of our compatriots living in foreign lands. This action plan will highlight the importance of strengthening ties between our brothers and sisters from the outside and those inside. My colleagues, by their experience and path, can indeed bring a lot to this mission [...]"
