Haiti - Diaspora : World premiere of the shock documentary «Citizens of Nowhere»
As part of the Month of Black History, The "Festival Fondu au Noir", premiering the shock documentary on the apartheid situation of Haitians living in the Dominican Republic "Citizens of Nowhere" of directors Nicolas-Alexandre Tremblay and Régis Coussot.

After three years of research and more than three months of filming in the field, the filmmakers make a current picture of the Haitian migrants in the Dominican soil. As a tale, told by the haitian poet and playwright Jean-Claude Martineau, the film plunges right in the heart of the human drama. This film shows how more than 250,000 Dominicans of Haitian descent have lost their rights, freedom and identity following the decision of the Dominican government to withdraw their citizenship. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers and experts on the matter, moderated by journalist, host and producer François Bugingo.
