Haiti - Politic : Who is Fritz-Alphonse Jean ? 29/02/2016 08:27:33 He holds a B. S. in Mathematics and Economics. (1981, Fordham University, New York), in economics masters, specialization: "International Business" (1983, Long Island University) and study for obtaining a doctorat, courses completed, oral and written exams with honors, specialization: "Money and Banking and International Trade" (1987, New School For Social Research, New York) Thesis : "Interest rate Formation in Backward Agriculture" (undefended). Former Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) Fritz Jean is an economist with over 20 years experience in the Haitian public and private sectors as well as among international institutions; with a course in state agencies, training institutions, professional associations and civil society organizations. In Haiti there was first a professor at the State University of Haiti and economic consultant before being appointed Vice-Governor of the BRH in 1996, then Governor of the BRH (1998 to 2001). After his passage in the public service, he returned to the university sector as dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science from the University of Notre Dame d'Haiti (UNDH). He was recently President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Northeast, before being chosen by civil society organizations as candidate for Prime minister https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-16725-haiti-flash-inauguration-of-the-prime-minister-named.html As a consultant economist, Fritz Jean contributed to the work of several Commissions on financial engineering for the establishment of investment funds, incubation works of small and medium enterprises, definitions of iities missions in the axis-Cap-Haïtien Ouanaminthe in regard to local development. Very active in the entrepreneurial life of the communities in the North and North-East departments, Fritz Jean helped fund several small and medium enterprises, participated in their structure, and still working on the incubation of new business projects. As President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Northeast, Fritz Jean has an intimate knowledge of border issues and works in partnership with the Northern Chamber of Commerce on the establishment of a partnership agreement with the chambers of commerce of Dajabon and Santiago. He presented several lectures on the theme of regional development, the dynamics of the border strip that is home to nearly 800,000 residents and the crucial problem of social exclusion. The last book he wrote "Haiti, the end of an Economic History" is a plea for a more inclusive economy, with a better equipped workforce technically and financially.
