Friday in Grenada as part of the final phase of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup (U-17) to be held from 30 September to 21 October 2016 in Jordan, our young Grenadières, victorious in all their matches in 1/4 finals, experienced a first and humiliating defeat [3-0] against Mexico.
Mexico and the United States are the two first countries of North, Central American and Caribbean to qualify for the FIFA U-17 Jordan 2016 after opening the way to the final of the Women's Championship U-17 CONCACAF, this Friday, March 11th in Grenada.
Mexicans defeated Haiti [3:0] in the first semifinal of the day. They needed only four minutes to take the lead with Dayana Cazares. Maricarmen Reyes doubled the lead eight minutes later, then Montserrat Hernandez finished the job in the last 15 minutes.
The two unfortunate semifinalists, Canada (beaten 5-0 by the USA) and Haiti [beaten 3-0 by Mexico], will play the last ticket of the zone for Jordan 2016 in the match for the third place, Sunday, March 13 at the small final, the same day will be played the Mexico-USA final.
