Saturday, as part of the final phase of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup (U-17) to be held from 30 September to 21 October 2016 in Jordan, our young Grenadière U17 won a second victory, this time against Guatemala not without difficulty [3-2].

In the first half Merkerline St Félix offered twice (6th and 11th minute) bringing score to [2-0] for Haiti, unchanged score at halftime, despite the revival of Guatemalans.

After the break the very combative Guatemalans reduce the score [2-1] with a shot of Maria Herrarte in the 53rd minute followed by an equalizing goal 20 minutes later [2-2] which caused a big scare at our Grenadières. But it was without counting on Nérilia Mondésir whose goal to one minute from the final whistle, gave the victory to Haiti [3-2] which temporarily takes the head of Group A with 6 points.

Monday, March 7 our young Grenadières face off for first place Canada, a serious opponent and favorite in Group A.

Haiti : 6 points (+16)

Canada : 6 points

Guatemala : 0 point

Grenada : 0 point
