Formal denial of CEP
In a statement, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) formally denies the rumors [including from some lawyers from opposition political parties], who want to suggest that there were two contradictory reports concerning the preliminary results of the November 20 presidential election "The CEP wishes to insist on respect for the law and the indisputable truth of the facts as the only compass to guide the behavior of all the actors involved in the electoral process [...]" declared Léopold Berlanger, President of the Electoral Council.

Fight against violent statements in Haiti
