Haiti - Training : Less than 4% of nursing students, passed the State exam 13/03/2017 09:38:37 One would be tempted to point the finger at the teaching provided by the numerous private schools of nurses throughout the country, except that the results are not better at the National School of Infirmary of Port-au-Prince (ENIP). After having waited 5 months for the results of these tests, this massive failure revolts the students who accuse the Ministry, reproaching it among others: the number of questions of the test (200), their difficulties or questions outside program and the little time to answer these 200 questions (4h00). They ask the Ministry to reconsider their assessment. Given the incredible rate of failure and the grumbling of the students, the Ministry agreed to carry out a re-examination of the tests of the students who received between 50 and 69%. A decision perceived by the students as an implicit acknowledgment that the Ministry of its responsibility in their failure... The students demand the granting of the license to all those who obtained between 50 and 69% of average and the resumption of the exam for those who have obtained less than 50% of average... In addition, students have referred to the Public Health Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, which intend, according to its President the Deputy Sinal Bertrand, sheds light on the reasons that led to these catastrophic results...
