Haiti - France : Tripartite Seminar on Transnational Crime 25/03/2017 10:34:37 The seminar, which opened last Tuesday in the presence of the French Ambassador to Haiti, Elisabeth Beton Delègue and Michel-Ange Gédéon, Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), was led by representatives of the French police and brought together several PNH officials, Haitian customs and border control services, and their Jamaican and Dominican counterparts. The ALCORCA program, funded by France to the tune of 1 million and whose main offices are located at the National Drug Control Department (DNCD) in Santo Domingo, started in February 2016. This program aims to facilitate technical and operational cooperation between Haiti, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, as well as Mexico and Cuba, in order to form a common space for the sharing of logistical tools to strengthen their capacity to fight transnational organized crime. The ALCORCA cooperation program is built around three main axes :
