Increased insecurity in PAP
Tuesday, the resurgence of insecurity in the capital was at the center of an important meeting of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN). Jack Guy Lafontant, President of the CSPN, and Michel Ange Gédéon, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), say that the release of some notorious bandits by the justice would be the source of many cases of insecurity. The Prime Minister calls on the population to be vigilant and to work with the police in order to put the bandits out of harm's way.

Temporary halting of evictions of Haitians
Monday, the Head of the Consular Mission in the Dominican Republic, Jean Tholbert Alexis, at the head of a delegation, visited the Higuey City Prosecutor, Edwin Encarnacion and the Dominican State Counsel in the East Zone Lic. Pierre Simon Georges, Minister of the Environment, announces that as part of World Environment Day (June 5th) trhe mont of June in Haiti, he was declared "Environment Month" around the annual theme of "Bringing people closer to nature" face the extreme degradation of the environment in Haiti, Minister Georges believes that interventions in all the priority areas are priority: drainage of rivers, reinforcement of watersheds, construction of retention walls, reforestation of mountains and sanitation of streets.

National Child Day
In the presence of First Lady Martine Moïse, the UNICEF Representative, the Director of the Institute of Social Welfare and Research (IBESR), of representatives of international organizations, including Plan International, the National Day of the Child was launched in Port-au-Prince under the theme "Pwoteje m toutan, se dwa m se devwa nou tout !" A series of activities will be organized throughout the week in the departments and communities in which Plan International Haiti intervenes.
