Workshop on agricultural production
This Friday will take place at the El Rancho Hotel, a launching ceremony of the Workshop on the Restitution of the Mission of a group of American researchers from Purdue University in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, came to study the potentialities, constraints and opportunities of the agricultural production system in Haiti, in order to establish an institutional partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, of Haitian researchers and faculties of agronomy in Haiti.

The League of Jurists wants to postpone the start of the school year
Following the publication of the results of the ordinary session of the baccalauréat 2016-2017, the League of Lawyers for the Promotion and Defense of Human Rights, affirms that "the Haitian education system is moribund, it is time to have a school at the dimension of the Haitian being, a school at the service of Haiti which answers the need of the Haitian people," and invites the Haitian State to postpone the beginning of the classes in order to elaborate a New curriculum to guide Haitian education.

Soon drinking water in Favette
The inhabitants of Favette, a locality of the third communal section of Port Salut, will have access to drinking water from their community at the end of this month of August. At the beginning of July, the organization Enfants Sans Frontières started the construction of a 12-m3 tank to supply the inhabitants of this community, which was facing a shortage of water. The construction of this tank was made possible through UN environment / Haiti through the funding of the Government of Norway.

Towards a new look at disability
On August 4, Secretary of State Gérald Oriol Jr participated in the "Great Youth Convention" organized by "Changing Lives Ministries International" in the commune of Arcahaie. At the Convention, he encouraged young people to take a new look at disability and contribute to efforts to integrate people with disabilities. A team of the BSEIPH was also present at this Convention to make a presentation on the topic of disability in Haiti and a session of initiation to the signs language.

Seminar on the regulation of electricity
The Observatory of Energy in Haiti joined the American Energy Association earlier this week at the Marriott Hotel for a seminar on electricity regulation. The seminar allowed key stakeholders, including Jamaican colleagues, to exchange ideas on the fundamentals of regulation in the electricity sector.

This Friday will be forwarded to Executive the list of 11 candidates selected for the vacancies at the Court of Cassation.
