Haiti - FLASH : Government and PM condemn...
In a note on the demonstrations organized in Port-au-Prince on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 September 2017 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22098-haiti-flash-violent-protest-against-the-budget-and-the-head-of-state.html the Government condemned "with the utmost firmness the acts of violence orchestrated on public buildings and on private buildings. The Government invites the population "not to be manipulated, to play the game of destabilization agents and urges all actors involved to take the path of dialogue and compromise."

On Wednesday at the Primature , Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant, at a press briefing, also condemned with the utmost firmness the violence that occurred the day before, during demonstrations in the metropolitan area.

The Head of Government recalled that justice will be exercised against the perpetrators of these unacceptable acts aimed at disturbing public order and peace.

He appealed to the people, to calm and serenity while affirming that "provisions are made to ensure the safety of lives and property and allow citizens to quietly go about their occupations [...]"
