Haiti - Politics : Moïse spoke with UN Deputy Secretary-General 24/09/2017 08:34:55
Moïse explained the priorities of his administration in particular: the management of surface water; road and social infrastructure; the reform of public administration; the construction of the national electricity grid; the production of renewable energies and measures to maintain stability and attract investment to create jobs. He also stressed the need for urgent reinforcement of the fight against cholera through an important and direct commitment to the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA). For their part, the UN interlocutors took note of the explanations of President Moïse andAmina J. Mohammed confirmed that she will soon go to Haiti as part of the ight against the elimination of cholera. The UN Deputy Secretary-General confirmed that she was considering concrete actions with immediate effect for better coordination of the actions of the United Nations system in Haiti during the post-Minustah transition, both in the cholera field and in infrastructure and State reform programs.
