Haiti - Politic : «The mobile companies fail in their duties» dixit Gary Bodeau 07/11/2017 08:41:31 Deputy Bodeau continues "[...] I note that for months, everywhere across the country, on social networks, in homes, a grumbling is chronicling. Mobile telephony companies are failing in their duties: excessive losses of units (deliberate and unjustified losses), poor quality of services and so on... In doing so, I have no intention of bothering you and / or attacking entrepreneurs in my country who are generating jobs. However, Prime Minister, it seems that the complaints and laments, the cries and the desolations of the abused consumers are ignored by your Government. For once, state responsibility requires, the state must position itself on the side of citizens. In short, the majority ! Because, about 5 million of our compatriots use a mobile phone today. Your Government must take steps to protect mobile subscribers and internet users. In any functioning country, a Government such as yours, ratified by Parliament, would already take the necessary steps [...] You must react quickly. The state should not just be a tax collector, so there are other prerogatives. I would be grateful if you would instruct your Minister concerned to bring solutions to these unpleasant, serious shortcomings caused by the mobile telephone companies, to the detriment of an entire nation. Receive Mr. Prime Minister, my patriotic greetings. Gary Bodeau, Deputy of Delmas. Quaestor of the Chamber of Deputies" HL/ S/ HaitiLibre
