Haiti - Economy : 3 companies run by Haitian, laureates of the Clinton Foundation 24/11/2017 09:23:50
The Clinton Foundation and the J/P Haitian Relief Organization organized in New York in mid-November, an investment pitch competition through the Women's Economic Participation Consortium (WEPC) featuring Haitian entrepreneurs from the craft sector, textiles, manufacturing, cosmetics and agribusiness. Six companies were competing for a bonus of 100,000 US dollars, were presented before a jury composed of CEOs, representatives of the Haitian Government, Paul Altidor Haiti's Ambassador to the United States and Ms. Tessa Jacques Director General of the Center for Investment Facilitation (CFI). The 3 laureates companies : Papillon Enterprises : Employs nearly 300 artisans, exported pottery, jewelry and metal art for $ 1.5 million.
