Haiti - Education : Towards a solution to the crisis at EFACAP of Petit-Goâve ?
Friday, concerned about the resumption of classes at the School of Basic Education and Pedagogical Support Center (EFACAP) of Petit-Goâve paralyzed for 3 months by the teachers' strike, a delegation of the Ministry of Education led by Pierrin Cherlvil, Deputy Director of the Department of the West, spoke for several hours with the teachers and members of the EFACAP Directorate.

During the meeting, many parents angry and hostile to some executives of the Direction were massed on the yard of the establishment by launching insults.

Concerned about the resumption of the courses, the Director Pierrin solicited from the teachers present, a truce until the Ministry of National Education, already touched by their file, brings a definitive solution to the problem of the arrears of salary and the regularization of the situation of some teachers. In addition, he wished that the courses are resumed from Monday, December 4.

The teachers intend to present themselves in the classrooms, however they pose certain conditions related to their demands... A break which could be of short duration...
