Haiti - Diaspora : A great day for the Haitians of Miami-Dade 26/03/2018 08:10:00 This bill honors those individuals who have done exemplary work within the community by providing them with a specific road designation. For Haiti, Joseph Emmanuel "Manno" Charlemagne Street is designated as the portion of 5th Street between Euclid Avenue and Lenox Avenue in Miami-Dade County. A committed singer-songwriter and former Haitian politician, he lived in exile during the 1980s and from 1991 to 1994. In 1978, with the musician Marco Jeanty, he recorded in Port-au-Prince his first album, Manno and Marco, composed of committed songs, whose broadcast on Radio Haiti-Inter is a great success. Manno Charlemagne returns to Haiti in 1994.
