South East: Over 50% of CASEC closed
In the South-East, 29 Communal Section Administration Boards (CASEC) more than 50%, have decided to close. These cartels protest because the authorities have not released any funds while an envelope of one million Gourdes is provided by CASEC in the 2017-2018 budget.

Swimmer Naomy Grand'Pierre gold medal
Earlier this week, Haitian swimmer Naomy Grand'Pierre, who trains in Atlanta, won the gold medal in the 50m breaststroke at the "CCCAN 2018" International Championship Central American Caribbean Amateur Swimming Confederation which takes place in Aruba (June 25 - July 6, 2018). With this victory, Naomy Grand'Pierre becomes the first swimmer to win gold for Haiti. Free movement of Haitians
On Thursday, back home after attending the 39th Ordinary Meeting of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Conference of Heads of State and Government in Montego Bay, Jamaica, President Moïse reported that discussions also focused on the Single Caribbean Economy (CSME) and advocated for the free movement of people, goods, services and capital in the CARICOM countries, stating that these items will be on the agenda of the an extraordinary session before February 2019. CSPN works to restore order and peace
The Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN) is working to develop a strategy to restore order and peace in the peripheral areas of Port-au-Prince including Martissant, ensures the Minister of Communication Delva.

Increase access to electricity
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has received the Directors General of Haiti Electricity (EDH) and the National Regulatory Authority of the Energy Sector (ANARSE) on the theme: "Increasing access to electricity through autonomous networks" to discuss the issue of electricity in Haiti where 11,500 families in rural areas benefit from the electricity project 24/24.

Final of Miss Haiti 2018
Thursday at the Marriott Hotel, held the final of Miss Haiti 2018. Samantha Colas (25 years), Social Communicator / Presenter was crowned Miss Universe Haiti 2018; Merlie Fleurizard (26), Legal Sciences / International Development was crowned Miss International Haiti 2018 and Cristina Cadet Prosper (26), Dentist, 1st runner up.
