Haiti - Rio 2016 : Swimming, Naomy Grand Pierre, proud to have represented Haiti

Friday as part of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the Haitian swimmer Naomy Grand Pierre, who had "qualified" in 27.35 seconds https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17948-haiti-sports-10-haitian-athletes-confirmed-for-the-olympic-games.html participated in Olympic Aquatics Stadium, in the Women series of 50 meter freestyle.

Naomy has finished in 27.46 seconds or 3.23 seconds slower than the fastest time of 24.23 achieved by Danish Pernille Blume unfortunately she finished in 56th position out of 88, insufficient lap to qualify, only the 16 fastest times qualified, ranging from 24.23 seconds to 24.82 seconds.

In its series Naomy Grand Pierre finished second, just behind Faye Husain Independent Olympic Athletes (IOA), which achieved a time of 26.86 seconds.

"It’s not my fastest time [...] I wish I could have gone faster, but I’m not going to complain. I’m super honored to have be and be a part of the Olympics [...] Si se Ayisyen ke ou ye, keep swimming," declared our Olympic swimmer for whom the competition has ended.
