Haiti - Women's Football : The Chamber of Deputies from words to deeds 10/10/2018 10:33:01
Last week at the Marriott Hotel, at the official launch of the Parliament Cup, Deputy Gary Bodeau said he was amazed to learn that despite the many promises of several institutions to the Grenadiers, the Football Federation had never received anything and announced that the Chamber of Deputies is giving a contribution of 20 million Gourdes to the FHF to support women's football in Haiti. Bodeau believes that it is impossible to produce or discover talented female footballers if the women's championship is dead "The rule to produce, we must have a championship and compete with major teams like Brazil and the United States." Wanting to give the guarantee of the continuous support of the Haitian parliament to women's football, the Deputy Bodeau quoted article 118-8 of the Haitian Constitution stipulating that the Parliament can not be dissolved or adjourned promised "As long as the Parliament exists, this initiative will be supported by this Parliament and the other legislatures ". South (7 teams) : Anacaona of Léogâne, AS Truitier of Carrefour, Camp Nou III Croix-des-Bouquets, Exafoot de Léogâne, Olympia of LEs Cayes, Paloma of Les Cayes, and Victoria of Jacmel. North (6 teams) : ASF of Gonaïves, AS Port-de-Paix, AS Fort-liberté, Les Jongleuses of Cap-Haïtien, Ouanaminthe FC and Venus FC.
