Haiti - Security : Successful operations of the PNH

Inspector Gary Desrosiers, deputy spokesperson for the Haitian National Police, reported on the actions of the PNH in the metropolitan area in December 2018.
The major joint anti-Gang operation, conducted on December 2, street Porcelaine in downtown Port-au-Prince, resulted in the arrest of 88 other persons, including 3 Chiefs of Gangs and the seizure of 5 firearms, 14 vehicles and 4 motorcycles https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26306-haiti-security-last-report-of-the-vast-anti-gang-operation-of-the-pnh.html
Desrosiers confirmed that the police had regained control at Savane Pistache following the operation of last December 21 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26489-haiti-flash-terror-in-savane-pistache-houses-of-police-officers-burned.html adding that several specialized units including the Departmental Unit of maintenance of order (UDMO) and the Brigade of Operation and Intervention Departmental (BOID) are confined to Savane Pistache.
On 20 December in the Saint-Louis-du-Sud zone, 7 individuals including 6 Jamaicans and a Haitian were arrested, 5 firearms, numerous ammunition, 3 motorboats, a large sum of money and about 9 kg of narcotics were seized.
