Haiti - Education : Minister Cadet's important mission to Washington D.C.
At the invitation of the Global Partnership in Education (GPE), Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of Education National, at thye head of a delegation left the country Sunday, January 13 to Washington DC to participate, on 14 January 16, 2019 at a high level Technical Workshop. This activity is part of the finalization of the 10-Year Education and Training Plan (PDEF) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25804-haiti-politic-last-line-for-the-education-and-training-ten-year-plan2018-2028.html and of financing of education projects in Haiti by the v.

This is an essential step in the partnership between the GPE and Haiti, which should ultimely lead to the access to a funding of $16.5 million for the country to support education projects.

The Haitian delegation includes, among others, Delima Pierre, Director General of the National Office for Partnership in Education (ONAPE), Jackson Pléteau Chief of Staff to Minister Cadet, Bayard Lapommeray, Director of the Unit of Studies and Programming (UEP) and the Inspector General, Mr. Gustave Joseph.

The Minister and the delegation will be back home on January 17. In her absence, Mrs. Greta Clément Roy, Minister of Health will act as interim of Minister Cadet.
