Haiti - NOTICE : Power rationing in Port-au-Prince continues 04/02/2019 08:05:23
"The Directorate General of EDH informs its customers in the metropolitan area that the decrease in the distribution of electricity and the recent triggering, are due [...]to a reduction in the production of the SOGENER thermal power station (a private producer) using Gasoil because of an extended delivery period to finalize the payment transaction of the oil tanker. This reduction allows it to manage the available gasoil stock while waiting for the supply. In this sense, the Directorate General, while taking the necessary measures to remedy this situation, reassures its loyal customers that electricity production will increase substantially soon thanks to the supply by Wednesday in Gasoil since an oil tanker is currently in the port of Port-au-Prince. The EDH Directorate General, while anticipating the understanding and patience of the customers in the most affected areas, guarantee for vill very soon a clear improvement in the said situation.
