Haiti - Security : Explosion of gas in Les Cayes, sympathies and care of victims
Mrs Marie Greta Roy Clément, the Minister of Public Health, presents her sympathies to the victims of the explosion of a propane gas tank, which occurred near the "Relais" market, in Les Cayes commune, on September 29th https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28878-haiti-flash-explosion-of-a-gas-cylinder-22-burned.html in which, 22 people including 8 children were burned some seriously.

The Ministry of Public Health, accompanied by the Office of Accident Insurance for Work, Sickness and Maternity (OFATMA), the Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization (PAHO / WHO) and Médecins Sans Frontière (MSF) provided overall care for 22 wounded and the evacuation of 7 of them, severely burned, to the MSF Burn Center. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28887-haiti-news-zapping.html at Drouillard in Port-sur-Prince https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-21799-haiti-health-msf-will-expand-care-center-for-severe-burns.html

The operations were led by the Ministry's Directorate General, which mobilized several of its entities, including the South Health Directorate, the National Sanitary Emergency Management Unit, the National Ambulance Center, the Directorate of Organization of Health Services and the Department of Pharmacy, Medicines and Traditional Medicine.

Note that the Ministry and its partners continue to take care of victims of this tragic accident.
