Haiti - Religion : Strengthening of barrier measures in order to protect the faithful from contagion
The Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA), took note of the Government's decision to authorize the resumption of religious services on July 12, 2020 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-31198-haiti-news-zapping.html and recommends that religious leaders strengthen preventive measures against Covid-19 in their churches.

In order to protect the population, the Foundation recommends to religious leaders in general and those of evangelical churches in particular, to respect and strengthen the barrier measures in order to protect their faithful and avoid the spread of Covid-19.

In this sense, the Foundation recommends that ecclesiastical leaders place a maximum of 3 people per bench. For example, a bench that can accommodate 14 people should now only receive 3 people in order to apply the principle of distance recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Recalling that it is obvious that the wearing of the mask must be compulsory to have access to worship.

In addition to buckets containing chlorinated water and soap which must be placed at the entrance of churches, without forgetting the frontal thermometer, the Foundation recommends the use of hydroalcoholic gels during sacrament services especially.

In order to allow all the faithful to attend worship, the Foundation suggests to program 4 Sunday services as follows:

From 6:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.; 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and in the afternoon from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m ..

FOLONHA encourages church leaders to use modern technologies including Zoom, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc., to enable Internet users to be able to participate virtually in religious services.
