Haiti - CEP : Where is the financing of the referendum and the elections ? 03/05/2021 11:50:07

Regarding the materials for the referendum, Minister Pierre informs that they will arrive in Haiti on May 15, recalling also that 80% of the evaluation of the voting centers were completed by the CEP in concert with the UNOPS and the Haitian National Police (PNH) For the so-called "lawless" zones controlled by gangs, the CEP, as in 2006 for Cité Soleil, will set up voting “mega-centers” near the red zones to facilitate the participation of voters in the referendum and outside elections of these areas where safety is not guaranteed. It should be noted that a staff of 477 people recruited by competitive examination at the national level were hired with the mission of organizing the referendum and the elections in each department, commune and communal section.
