Haiti - Politic : Remarks of Martelly on the next Prime Minister
Upon his return from Chile, the Head of State is returned on , the to the nomination of the next Prime Minister-designate, recalling that a presidential commission was working with both chambers to reach a consensus necessary for the establishment of a Government. "It is not clear at this time, that a candidate has been chosen..." said the President Martelly.

"...it is the same commission, which at the time of the Prime Minister designated Mr. Gousse had worked with the parliamentarians. It is composed of four members and this is Mr. Valentin that leads the negotiations, for now. I just got here, I know they work, but we can not force them to move forward [the parliamentarians], we expect, we hope to move forward [...] in parallel we are developing other ways to work while waiting to get where we want, the establishment of a government, which is important for us today."

Despite the crisis situation the Head of State wished to remind :

"At the level of our personal satisfaction, we believe that we move forward very well, the President is in good health. There are people who would lead us into a war of nerves, but it does not work [...] we have not lost our focus despite all the things which are says. Our education program is working well [...] we will decide with the Ministry of Education if the date for the beginning of the school year will be maintained or postponed, in order to be more solid in the programming [...] we have the money to send the children to school, and initially the number of children that i thought send to school will be much more superior [...] We believe we will be able to send many children to school for free this year..."

At the end of his press conference, the Head of State clarified to the reporters :

"...there are many people who can be Prime Minister, of course I need a profile, I need the loyalty, of various criteria, we need someone who will implement the policy of President, a person who is able to bring people together, with expertise, a vision [...] but we must also ensure that when that person will be ratified it will not be the subject of convocation every six months, every three months, every two days if not, it will not be able to govern. The idea is to find a consensus, so that we can run over 5 years. In the meantime we will focus on climate risks, education and health, and in this sense that we are currently working."
