Furthermore, the Cap Haitien and Toussaint Louverture airports are the target of gangs who want to prevent the Prime Minister and his delegation from landing on Haitian territory. Several activists from the radical opposition party "Pitit Dessalin" gathered early Monday, March 4th, 2024, in front of the Cap-Haitien international airport to ask those responsible not to welcome Prime Minister Ariel Henry there. The date of Ariel Henry's return remains unknown. Following the cancellation of all commercial flights, information is circulating to the effect that the Prime Minister would have chartered a charter flight with the aim of landing in Haiti. Some rumors claim that his arrival could be imminent, but those around him remain silent on the subject... Security measures would have been put in place in order to avoid any confrontation with the gangs. Currently, in Henry's absence, Patrick Michel Boivert, the Minister of Finance is acting in the interim.
