Haiti - Politic : The Minister of the Interior has met a delegation of Ecuador

The Minister of Interior, of Territorial Collectivities and National Defense , Me Thierry Mayard Paul, met Thursday the Ambassador of Ecuador, Mr. Carlos Lopez Damm, and a delegation composed of Karina Ramirez, Carolina Viola, Galo Mayorga and Eduardo Duran as part of a collaboration between the Ecuadorian government and the Haitian government in various areas including the strengthening of local authorities and social development.

This meeting follows a meeting between the President Martelly and the President of Ecuador, Mr. Rafael Correa, who had proposed the sending of a mission to enhance the cooperation between Haiti and Ecuador. Positive impact should result from this meeting where crucial points were discussed in relation to the vision of the Ministry of Interior and the axes on which the Ecuadorian government could act.

The Ministry of the Interior is working to the materialization of the vision of the President of the Republic of creating sustainable development through local initiatives and decentralized cooperation.
